How to Download GIFs from Discord (Tenor, GIPHY, and Attachments)

Discord “GIFs” usually come from Tenor, GIPHY, or as a user-uploaded file. The right download method depends on which one you’re seeing.

Case 1: It’s a Tenor/GIPHY embed

1. Click the GIF to open its source (Tenor or GIPHY) if available.
2. Use the dedicated tool: Tenor GIF Downloader or GIPHY Downloader.
3. Download the original media (often MP4/WebP for stickers).

Case 2: It’s an uploaded GIF file

1. Open the image in a new tab to reveal the direct file URL.
2. Paste it into GIF Downloader and download.

If it downloads as MP4/WebP
